It was Christmas Eve and the some of the sylvanians were doing some last minute shopping for family and friends The only Person Joanne Springer still had to buy for was her Mother. She has bought new socks for her father and a doll for her sister but she can't decide what to get for her mother. From the corner of her eye she spots the bakery. All the pastries were all laid out, the biscuits were freshly baked and she could smell the wonderful aroma coming from Christopher's shop. Just that moment, Christopher came out of the door with a fresh loaf of bread in his hands Maybe he will know what to buy from my mother she thought. '' Hello Christopher, I don't know what to buy my mother, do you have any ideas?'' '' Merry Christmas Joanne he greeted her, I would give Rocky's store a try'' hello Rocky she greeted the store owner when she entered his shop, Would you have any ideas on what I could buy for my mother?'' '' Hello he said, I don't think my shop is the right place unless you want to get your mother a turnip or a tin of beans, I'm sorry, I hope you find something nice, maybe ask Marion'' The Shop window of the clothes shop. In the window there was the most beautiful dress Joanne had ever seen. It was pink with lace and polka dots. It was made from a silky fabric which seemed to flow effortlessly. It was the perfect gift. She went straight inside and bought the dress and took it home with her. She knew that on Christmas morning she would have the biggest smile on her face when her mother untied the gold bow and undid the red paper and found the perfect present Joanne had spent so long trying to find that Christmas Eve. It was a crispy morning and snow had fallen the previous night. Lisa and Nigel had set of to go get a Christmas tree like many other Sylvanians in the village. ''How about this one Ingrid?'', said Marcus. '' It may be small but I'm sure it would look lovely in your house in the corner by the sofa'' '' Oh yes it is nice'' replied Ingrid. '' I think it's the one I would like''
