It was Christmas Eve and the some of the sylvanians were doing some last minute shopping for family and friends
Picture
The only Person Joanne Springer still had to buy for was her Mother. She has bought new socks for her father and a doll for her sister but she can't decide what to get for her mother.
Picture
From the corner of her eye she spots the bakery. All the pastries were all laid out, the biscuits were freshly baked and she could smell the wonderful aroma coming from Christopher's shop.

Just that moment, Christopher came out of the door with a fresh loaf of bread in his hands

Maybe he will know what to buy from my mother she thought. '' Hello Christopher, I don't know what to buy my mother, do you have any ideas?'' '' Merry Christmas Joanne he greeted her, I would give Rocky's store a try''
Picture
hello Rocky she greeted the store owner when she entered his shop, Would you have any ideas on what I could buy for my mother?'' '' Hello he said, I don't think my shop is the right place unless you want to get your mother a turnip or a tin of beans, I'm sorry, I hope you find something nice, maybe ask Marion''

Just as she was about to drink some her hot chocolate so she could finish it and ask Marion about gift ideas, she saw something from the window... She quickly finished her drink, thanked Marion and headed straight to...

The Shop window of the clothes shop. In the window there was the most beautiful dress Joanne had ever seen. It was pink with lace and polka dots. It was made from a silky fabric which seemed to flow effortlessly.

It was the perfect gift. She went straight inside and bought the dress and took it home with her. She knew that on Christmas morning she would have the biggest smile on her face when her mother untied the gold bow and undid the red paper and found the perfect present Joanne had spent so long trying to find that Christmas Eve.

It was a crispy morning and snow had fallen the previous night. Lisa and Nigel had set of to go get a Christmas tree like many other Sylvanians in the village.
Picture

One of these Sylvanians was Ingrid Blackberry. Ingrid loved camping so setting out early to get a Christmas tree was no problem for her as when she went camping she often woke up early because the birds woke her up. The snow was cold but she didn't mind at all. Ingrid loved when it snowed as she and her friend Marcus could make snowmen and have snowball fights. It was also Marcus who she was meeting at the Christmas tree to pick up a tree that morning.

When she arrived, Marcus was already there and so were Ralph Walnut and his sister. They greeted her and Marcus was already looking at some of the trees. They were slightly snowy as snow had fallen in the night but Ingrid thought it made them look even better.

''How about this one Ingrid?'', said Marcus. '' It may be small but I'm sure it would look lovely in your house in the corner by the sofa''

'' Oh yes it is nice'' replied Ingrid. '' I think it's the one I would like''

Just that moment, Justin the Wood keeper and owner of the Christmas tree farm walked over to the children. ''Hello, Merry Christmas'' he said. ''Have you chosen your tree yet? or do you need some help choosing one?''

'' I really like this one'' said Ingrid, ''What do you think?''

''Excellent choice'' said Justin as he walked over to the tree.

''It is this one'' said Marcus to him pointing to the tree. ''But how will we get it home?''
Mr Mulberry, who was also helping out on the farm said: ' don't worry I can take it home for you''

Justin loaded the tree into the motorbike
and Mr Mulberry drove it all the way to Ingrid's house

'wow! the tree looks amazing Marcus! said Ingrid. '' Here is a nice present to go under it as well'' Marcus said as he revealed a box wrapped with a gold string. '' Thank you, Marcus'' said Ingrid. ''Thank you for picking a tree with me I hope it snows next year as well so the tree will look just as pretty as it does this christmas''
                       the end
